The Philippines is an archipelagic nation whose coasts and seas have always been a major part of the lives of its peoples. We recognize the distinguishable connection we have towards our waters, some of which have been internationally renowned like the Badjao people. This unique relationship we have with the sea is highlighted with our newest endeavor – STILTS, a community learning center.

 

Time and time again we have overlooked these people and, as a result, they became victims of social injustices brought about by modernization. With this project, we aim to uplift the urban poor a chance at education by providing them a space where they can learn and grow. The center will become an outlet for their talents to be nurtured.
